about the photographer
i live in gainesville, florida with my wonderfully-supportive husband and two beautiful daughters - a two-year-old and eight-month-old. after taking photojournalism and writing classes in college, i took the writers' route and worked as a newspaper reporter for several years. i had several photographs published as well. i picked up a camera in earnest again in order to document my family's life, and i haven't put it down!
after taking photographs of dozens of friends' families and new babies, some friends suggested i try my hand at small business, and so lisa.emmerich.photography was born. it is the perfect way for me to balance motherhood with work and an outlet for my passion for creation.
in the 28 months since my first daughter was born, i have taken thousands of photographs of families and their celebrations, done some commercial work and shot several weddings. i am thankful every day to document the joy of so many local families.
family session information
each photography session begins with a consultation by phone or in person to determine the best way to capture the clients' personalities and desires. will your photographs be artistic black-and-white shots of your family interacting, intimate images of your newborn's tiny toes and precious face, colorful compositions of your family at a favorite park, or formal portaits in a beautiful florida setting?
photography sessions are on location in your home or at one of florida's lovely outdoor settings. lisa can recommend a location that might suit your family. lisa's sessions are relaxed and fun! she patiently interacts with you and your children to capture your extraordinary personalities - a fussy baby or rambunctious toddler is no problem. lisa's theory is that if one idea doesn't work, another one will, and we take lots of breakst to allow children time to recharge. some of the most beautiful photographs are candid shots taken in an artistic way.
one-hour sessions include a custom photography CD with 20 to 25 hand-edited images for you to keep. these photographs are yours to do what you'd like with: they can be uploaded to a web site for sharing, printed at a local laboratory, enlarged or bound into an album.
in addition to the custom photography CD, clients can purchase all of the session's photographs (a one- hour session yields about 150 photographs) on CD for $25. session prices apply for up to six people. call lisa to discuss pricing for additional people or pets.

wedding session information
i will work with you to make sure your cherished memories are captured in a way that reflects your style and the spirit of your day. the first step is a consultation to get to know you, learn the details of your day and the important people involved, and determine the style of photography you're looking for. all packages include photographs of the ceremony and reception as well as a portrait session. photographs of the bride and groom getting ready and an intimate portrait session with just the bride and groom can be included. all photographs are yours to keep on a high resolution disc.
although i have photographed hundreds of parties, baptisms and events, i am new to wedding photography and just have a few under my belt. that is a benefit to you because my prices are reasonable - take advantage of this opportunity!
$800 for four hours - about 300 photographs with 100-150 hand-edited images
$1200 for eight hours - about 600 photographs with 200-300 hand-edited images
